"Halloween" AZ Style

Happy Halloween everyone!

Tonight was a great night for all the kids in the neighborhood. They managed to reap us of 3 HUGE bags of candy in about an hour and a half.
Seemed tonight DH & DW saw more trick or treaters here in one night than DH had seen at the Truman address up north. DW even said it was crazy! We could have doubled our candy purchase and it still wouldn't have been enough!
Our neighbors across the street decided a haunted backyard was in order. From the sounds of it, success they did achieve. Kids were everywhere. It was fun. Family and friends sent pictures of everyone's costumes and we reflected o
n who had stopped by on a regular basis up'nordth! DW was even able to use our web cam to see her family's kids real time. Pretty awesome. Here are a few photos of how our house was decorated. DH was playing his own Halloween music "Recorded" and a strobe light flashing to add to the affect. He managed to scare a few little ones into not approaching our door. "EVIL GRIN"

Our wonderful "hosts" Munci & Phoebe even decided they would participate in this years spooktacular festivities by dressing up. You can see by the photo below they are to DIE for!

Hey guys. Thanks for the call...I just posted on our blog. Looks like you're having a great time there (except for the high winds!). Take care!

jeepers creepers! Looks like ya had a heckofa good time there, dontcha know! We had about 40 small groups come to the door on a somewhat cool/windy evening. It was rather odd to have the sun shining at the beginning of trick/treat due to calendar-time change not going into effect until next weekend. Miss Grace was SO excited to see all the goblins and princesses! We did manage to witness a couple of sibling squabbles wherein one would get SO mad at the other because it was THEIR turn to push the doorbell! One of them hauled off and decked his brother as hard as she could! Sheesh! Had I known my doorbell would cause such a ruckus - ! Ali went 'booing for food' with Bethel and Trinity and literally collected 'tons' of food! Way to go kids!

Big football game tomorrow night as I'm sure you've 'read' in the paper. Ali will be heading up there for that to work with the athletic trainer and the athletes. DH will be working and I have a Basic Trauma Life Support class from 9-5. Good time for a glass of wine, home alone!

I'm happy you had a great turnout of kids! Your 'home' here was festivally decorated as well and had many bell ringers, too!

Gooooooo Huskies! - They'll always be Indians to us though, donchya know! DH will dig through some boxes and try to find his old Indian jersey in "homage" to the big game! Good Luck! We hope the little goblin boy who got smacked by his sister doesn't file a wrongful-'my turn to ring the doorbell' suit against you! We'd Love to read THAT one in the 'People's Mess'! Let us know how the BIG game turns out!
