"Easter Bunny"

Quick Blog.
Apparently, the Easter Bunny visited DH's family's backyard today.
Here is a photo. Enjoy.

Dually be gone!

It was a very busy day for DH & DW today. DH was up early and cleaned everything out of the Chevy Dually we bought to haul our trailer down from Oh-Town.
DW awoke to find DH cleaning it out, didn't question a thing & knew what was going to happen today. We've had numerous conversations regarding trading in the dually, but have not had the time to pursue it.
Well, DH decided today was the day. In our budgeting he discovered the truck was costing over $400.00 a month for fuel. He decided enough was enough. Last weekend for President's day, there were car sales all over the valley and we participated in attending. NEVER again! It was the most pathetic display of "in your face" selling that we just gave up.
However, the last dealership we stopped at, they seemed really reluctant to be in your face to make a sale & that is the place we went back to today.
Everyone will be glad to know that the "REDNECK" dually is no longer ours. We purchased a Pontiac G6. It's a sporty two door with a hard top that retracts into the trunk making it a convertible. We bought the car and waved good bye to a truck that served it's purpose of transporting us to AZ and changing our lives forever.
"Good Bye little Dually. We will certainly miss you"
It was a pleasure working with the dealership and our sales person who moved here from Romania. We drove our new ride home and smiled all the way. Oh and yes the top was down. Heeeeeeee!
Here is a photo of the Dually in our garage. It pretty much controlled all the space available.

Here is a photo of the G6. We just love it!

Here is a photo of the G6 in our garage tonight. It has allowed us much more room than before. We think we can actually re-arrange the garage to allow both of our vehicles to have a resting place.

Before sending the G6 to bed tonight, our friend Tony invited us to a place called Greasewood Flat. It's a great place that's in the middle of the desert that has a country vibe to it. Multiple fire pits are burning, giving it that camping smell & live country music is being played adding to the atmosphere. The locals actually ride horses to this place and tie them to hitching posts.
It truly was a great place to visit.
Here are some photos showing Greasewood Flat. We look forward to the next time we are there. Hopefully it will be with our friends and family.

If you look closely, the age of the crowd is much older than us. That's what made this place so interesting. It was retired people out drinking beer and wine and having a GREAT time. We envied them because it's a place to truly relax and you could tell everyone enjoyed it. Including us!!!

Back in AZ!

We figured now that DW is back in Arizona and has finally thawed out from the chill of spending 2 weeks in Minnesota, it's time to post a blog!
The time that DW spent there was Wonderful and Miserable, all at the same time!
Wonderful because she was able to see family, friends, and co-workers not seen for 6 months and Miserable because of the cold and wind.
As soon as she told people she would be spending 2 weeks living in Owatonna in a hotel, everyone she knew wanted to make sure she wasn't alone. Almost every lunch and dinner was booked by loved ones! And she was thrilled that she was able to eat at Taco John's again! 6 months with no Potatoe Ole's!! The only Taco John's in the entire state of Arizona is 1 1/2 hours away near Tucson on an Air Force Base!
It has been about 10 months since she had to deal with bitter cold and snow. DW groaned loudly when she picked up the rental car at the airport and there was an ice scrapper on the dash! It just confirmed once again why she and DH had left the "frozen tundra"!
DW's mom loaned her a heavy winter jacket for the visit because we had gotten rid of our heavy, heavy winter jackets! But thankfully, we had not gotten rid of her gloves, scarf or stocking cap that DH's mom had given to her last winter! Thank God for moms!!
These are pictures that made DH laugh when he saw them! And a Very good reminder that our decision to move to AZ was a Good one!!

What DW saw everyday when she parked her car at the hotel! Made her want to cry!

This is what the temperature was at noon on the Friday DW was in Twin Cities on her way to the airport to come back to DH! Yes, that is 3 above 0!!

Not a tear shed to be leaving this behind!

And this is the view to the west 5 miles from our house in AZ! Welcome Home!

Before and After

Tonight, both Phoebe and Muncie went in for their grooming appointments. Apparently, neither of them made friends with the groomer. I think we'll have to find a new goomer!
DW wanted to make sure their hair was cut before she left for 2 weeks back to Owatonna for training so DH wouldn't have to worry about brushing them.
Below are the before and after pictures of both of them.
For a good laugh!!

Here's Muncie trying to avoid eye contact.

Now he's just embarassed!

And here's Phoebe Finally with the hair out of her eyes!

Now she's just pissed off!
DW will spend the next 2 weeks in lovely Owatonna where the temperature highs are forecast to be in the mid-20's with chances of snow several days. She's leaving behind highs in the upper 60's, lows in the upper 40's.
"Sigh."

More auction photos worth seeing

DH & DW finally went through the photos that we had a chance to take at the auction. Here are some great photos we hadn't previously blogged about. Enjoy!

This photo makes an AMAZING background photo on your desktop. ENJOY!

This is Robosauraus. What an INCREDIBLE engineering marvel!!

Here is Robosauraus eating a Saturn for breakfast. It was so cool to see..... DW didn't like it as her car in OH'town was a Saturn. Robo cut through it like a hot knife through butter.
Oh wait, our neighbors in OH'town now own DW's Saturn!
DH shot video of Robo with the camera & will try and get it posted on YouTube & post the link here for all to see.

You couldn't help but feel the heat of the fire and see the ease with how it ripped that Saturn apart and set it on fire! It could easily destroy the simplest of things.

This was the "ITALIEN" Ford Thunderbird from Minnesota that crossed the block.

Here's TNA's Dually with the bed full of 42" LCD T.V.'s for the sky boxes.
To think the dually went from Fort Dodge, IA to being in the presence of the best of the best cars! It truly brought a smile to DH's face!
